Documal SaaS – A Document Management System by Fujitsu

Project Background:

Fujitsu’s service, Documal is a SaaS (software as a service) Document Management System by Fujitsu. The program has evolved over more than 25 years and has over 1000 customers in Japan, Malaysia, Indonesia, and Vietnam. The program can store documents for each work task that are produced as part of project planning, procurement/purchasing, production, and other related operations. The program eliminates the need for expensive ICT investments and allows customers to quickly begin using the service. The service makes it possible for customers to quickly deploy a document management system, in addition to sharing information and strengthening collaboration between offices and business partners.

Key features include semi-automated document processing, reducing human errors, digitize paper documents, semi-automated document processing , digitize paper documents via OCR, virtual databases, semi-automated document processing , digitize paper documents via OCR, virtual databases, compliance to all legal retention periods and audit requirements. Standardization of document management such as customized e-forms, search function, document access controls and automatic email notifications reducing laborious processes and long processing times. Better seamless automated batch document digitizing process and management and audit-proof ways for retention of documents.
