How we helped
Language Pair: Korean to English Translation:
• Translation of Product Description Sheets
• Website and product information sheets
• Ethics Regulations guidelines manual
200 pages, translation and desktop publishing
When translating a product range such as air filters with its on set product description, product terminology and industry terms and descriptions it was vital to first review all material and to incorporate any existing translation to ensure consistency.
Some key terminology had been translated in the past and other terms had never been translated. For best terminology management VEQTA Translation incorporated all legacy terminology Korean to English into a bilingual a glossary.
VEQTA then deployed a technology that allows our translators and editors to have a bilingual glossary readily available to them throughout the course of translating any material in the form of a term base file. VEQTA then deployed a technology that allows our translators and editors to have a bilingual glossary readily available to them throughout the course of translating any material in the form of a term base file. It gets a bit technical, but this allows any legacy term to be propagated as a suggested term for the translator in the target translation file throughout the course of translation. This localization process is a perfect way for our editors to leverage the existing translated terms when picking up the work to create a perfect result of the new translation.
