About MDoloris Medical Systems

MDoloris Medical Systems is doing groundbreaking work in the realm of patient care during surgical procedures, focusing on non-invasive monitoring of surgical stress through the patient’s parasympathetic tone. Their approach represents a significant advancement in the management of analgesia and surgical stress, offering a more nuanced way to gauge and respond to a patient’s pain and stress levels during and after surgery.

The company’s innovative approach allows clinicians to manage analgesia more effectively, thereby mitigating risks associated with analgesia overdosing, post-operative acute pain, and subsequent health complications. The company serves a vital role for anesthesiologists and healthcare professionals globally, cementing its status as a leader in the development of healthcare equipment that addresses critical needs in the management of surgical stress and pain. Clinical investigations bolster the efficacy of MDoloris’ devices, demonstrating that patients under their monitor’s guidance experience faster recovery times and report lower pain scores post-operation.

With a global footprint extending to 49 countries and a presence in over 3,000 hospitals, MDoloris Medical Systems has significantly impacted healthcare, benefiting more than 500,000 patients worldwide.

How We Helped:

MDoloris approached VEQTA to localize the company’s product brochures in the field of medical equipment. The brochures were highly technical and needed full Desktop Publishing

Translation of Language Pairs:

VEQTA’s expertise in translation was critical as we translated highly technical product brochures from English to Japanese and English to Vietnamese. Given the complexity of the medical devices and the importance of precise terminology, especially when dealing with nuanced medical concepts and equipment, the need for translators and subject matter experts well-versed in medical technology was clear. Our focus was on accurately conveying the function and benefits of these devices to Japanese and Vietnamese and demonstrated VEQTA’s meticulous attention to detail necessary for this specialized field.

VEQTA needed to ensure the translation accurately conveyed the company’s cutting-edge technology as MDoloris’ product portfolio includes devices and accessories designed to monitor and control surgical stress.

VEQTA needed to deploy Translators and Subject Matter Experts to accurately translate the medical equipment content to convey the crucial role MDoloris Medical Systems plays not only  in its advances the field of medical monitoring technology but also by underscoring its commitment to improving patient care and outcomes worldwide.

The products described how the equipment enhances patient outcomes in both operating room (OR) and intensive care unit (ICU) settings and helped clinicians fine-tune the administration of analgesics to control surgical stress without the need for invasive procedure.

It was important we accurately translated how the medical equipment helped detecting nociception in adults and control surgical stress by the Autonomic Nervous System (ANS response) and how the EEG monitor facilitates the management of the desired level of consciousness, while the ANI monitor detects noxious stimulation and the process of patient adaptation of patients  patients with a high respiratory drive to the ventilator and prevent patient-ventilator asynchrony (PVA).

The translation and localization of these brochures served as a vital bridge, not only in linguistic terms but also in cultural and clinical practice contexts. Ensuring that the descriptions of how the devices monitor and manage surgical stress, detect nociception, and prevent patient-ventilator asynchrony were clearly understood in the target languages was crucial. It underscores the complexity of translating medical texts, where precision in language can directly impact the usability and understanding of life-saving technology.

By bringing together expert translators and subject matter experts, VEQTA Translations facilitated a deeper understanding and accessibility of MDoloris’ innovations to non-English speaking clinicians and healthcare professionals. This work not only supported MDoloris’ mission to improve patient care globally but also highlighted the critical role of high-quality translation and localization services in the global healthcare industry.
